Six more MRT stations will be built in Phase 2 of the Cross Island Line

  Singapore’s extensive road-rail-bus network, currently serves over seven million commuters each day. This comprehensive land transport network and infrastructure continue to grow and improve. Recently, the government announced more stations for the Cross Island Line. Six more stations on the Cross Island Line (CRL) will be built and are slated to open in 2032. New MRT stations in Phase 2 of the Cross Island Line  CRL is Singapore’s eighth MRT line, spanning over 50km, connecting the country’s major hubs such as Jurong Lake District, Punggol Digital District, and Changi. SMRT Collaborates with A*STAR to Enhance Productivity, Safety, and Sustainability in Land Transport

Singapore has created a best-in-class public transport system, which is accessible, efficient, convenient, sustainable, and at the same time affordable. Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 to Open for Passenger Service from 13 November 2022

The Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 (TEL3) will start operating with 11 stations on 13 November 2022. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that these TEL3 stations that will begin passenger services are Stevens, Napier, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard, Great World, Havelock, Outram Park, Maxwell, Shenton Way, Marina Bay, and Gardens by the Bay. There are four interchange stations which include Stevens, Orchard, Outram Park, and Marina Bay. Another two stations under TEL Stage 3 – Mount Pleasant and Marina South – will open only when housing developments around them are ready. “ This is a very important addition to our MRT system. 11 MRT stations along the Thomson-East Coast Line are on track to open by end of 2022

The Thomson–East Coast Line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore. When completed, the line will serve 32 stations over 43 kilometres in length. The line is currently being opened in 5 stages, with Stage 1 (from Woodlands North to Woodlands South) opening on 31 January 2020. Stage 2 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (from Spring leaf to Caldecott) opened on 28 August 2021. Now, Stage 3 is expected to begin operations from Caldecott to Gardens by the Bay in Q4 2022. Recently, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that it handed over the 11 stations to SMRT Corporation, a leading multi-modal transport operator. Stage 3 of the Thomson-East Coast Line SMRT and LTA have been testing the integrated systems and trains for TEL stage 1 to 3 since the start of the year.
